Francisco Gabilondo Soler- Cri Crí

Francisco Gabilondo Soler- Cri Crí is the most famous children's singer in the Americas. He was born on October 6, 1907 in Orizaba, Veracruz. Cri Crí created 210 wonderful songs from 1934 to 1962. His music is a must in elementary schools all over Latin America and in bilingual classrooms in the USA. Cri Crí is part of our roots and corazones. He died on December 14 1990, of cardiac disease, at the age of 83 years.

I learned my first Cri Crí song, Las marchas de la letras, in kindergarten. If you have a chance buy his music and give your child a great present. Here are some of his songs.¡Disfruta!

I am home on maternity leave and will return to my kinder dual immersion classroom in January. I am organizing my playlists for my classroom and decided to google images to teach the cri-cri songs and came across these youtube videos. I can't describe how valuable these will be in teaching my students the songs. Thank you for posting these and will continue to look for more clips.
